Remineralizing Toothpaste

If you’ve been whitening your teeth using strong teeth whitening products, you might be worried about how those strong chemicals are affecting your tooth enamel.  It could mean you might need a great Remineralizing Toothpaste.

Should you worry? YES!

Especially if you are eating acidic foods, or are using abrasive cleaning in conjunction with your teeth whitening regimen.

Do You Want the BEST Remineralizing Toothpaste?

YES - GET IT NOW

For example, if you are using a coarse toothpaste or adding something like baking soda to your brushing, studies show that teeth whitening product can affect your enamel and/or dentin layers of your teeth.

Other studies show that your favorite soda can also be awful for your enamel.

What Can You Do?

Well, you can stop using teeth whitening products.

WHAT?!?

Bite your tongue you say?

Line 'em up!

We agree. You’ve gotten used to having that sparkling smile. No need to give it up because of a few studies when there are alternatives.

Although, you absolutely should hold off on the teeth whitening products if your dentist is saying your enamel is dangerously thin.

Or, if you are having sensitivity issues.  At least until you have built some of that enamel back up.

How about tooth remineralization?

What is that, you say?

Tooth remineralization is the refortification of your enamel.

Can this really work?

Well, the truthful answer is: it depends.

The reason it depends is that it depends on how much enamel you have already lost. There is a “breaking point” where if you have lost too much enamel, that remineralization or a remineralization toothpaste just doesn’t work anymore.

If you have lost too much enamel, then your dentist may just recommend a crown instead of trying to restore your enamel using remineralization techniques.

Holistic Approach

If you aren’t ready to accept your dentist’s evaluation and aren’t ready for crowns, there are some holistic treatments that might help.

One treatment we found claims that eggshells have just the ingredients you need to remineralize your teeth.

At first blush, eggshells seems like a weird approach.

After all, who was that first person whose teeth needed an enamel boost?  And, instead of throwing away those eggshells from breakfast, they decided to throw them onto their english muffin “just to see” if it would help their teeth?

This government study also provides some other interesting alternative approaches like oil pulling,

Nano-Hydroxyapatite

Scientist in the dental field have researched and found that the chemical compound nano-hydroxyapitite is very beneficial with regard to tooth remineralization.

During these studies, not only did they find that nano-hydroxyapitite helps with remineralization, they found that it improves the teeth whitening products ability to whiten.

We’ve found a really great nano-hydroxyapitite remineralization toothpaste out of Japan that users have found works well for them.

Apagard M-Plus Toothpaste

Apagard M-Plus Toothpaste (Our BEST Remineralizing Toothpaste!!)

Apagard is the best remineralizing toothpaste product out of Japan.

By using nano-hydroxyapitite, M-Plus toothpaste fills microscopic surface fissures that occur on your teeth.

Users have also found that as reported in studies, that nano-hydroxyapitite helps with the whitening process.

You may have to go to Japan to get a toothpaste this good. One reviewer reports that “It (this product) was taken off the market in the US due to the American Dental Association being greedy and upset about a product that actually rebuilds your teeth over time”.

With regard to how well it is able to remineralize your teeth, a reviewer exclaimed “This toothpaste is truly a miracle! My teeth no longer hurt from hot or cold foods and drinks! I recommend this product to anyone with tooth pain or sensitivity. It actually rebuilds teeth”.

These reviews were not isolated. Users really like this toothpaste.

CariFree CTx4 Gel 1100, Dentist Recommended, Anti-Cavity (Mint)

CariFree CTx4 Gel 1100

CariFree offers CTx4 Gel 1100 a remineralizing toothpaste that can keep your teeth strong and white.

The product has been low in stock numbers lately.  So, you might need to hurry before they run out.

This product also includes nano-hydroxyapitite, but is able to include this teeth rebuilding chemical while mixing in ingredients that help this toothpaste taste “not bad”.

One review noted “Unlike other toothpastes, it doesn’t taste like soap”. Ok, not exactly a rousing endorsement. But, better than many of the other reminerization toothpaste products we found where reviewers “had to spit it out”. Or, “couldn’t stand the taste”.

With regard to remineralization, many reviewers comment on how well it works. One example was a reviewer that stated “Even my dentist commented on how it is remineralizing my teeth“.

Post-Treatment Products

Some reminerization products target use right after using your teeth whitening product.

You might think this is a little counter intuitive. At least we did when we first saw products like this.

But, upon further research, these products often are designed to work with the teeth whitening products to react when mixed and to provide protection to your teeth.

If you’ve come to this page looking for pain relief, then this is the product you’ve been waiting for.

MANY of the reviewers talk about how this product might be great for remineralization, but they purchase it for the pain relief!

So, if you’re using your teeth whitening product and you find your teeth becoming sensitive due to over treatment, or just because your teeth just “do that” in general, this product is built for that.

I couldn’t really state it any better than some of the reviewers. So, I’ll just point out a couple that really hit it on the head with this product.

One reviewer stated “…press out a very, very small dot on the end of your index finger and massage into sore areas of gum and/or teeth. It works instantly to relieve discomfort“.

Another described “Yes, it definitely helps with sensitivity!! Tou can use it after brushing with your regular toothpaste“.

Calcium Products

This old fashion method is tried and true.

You can get calcium through many natural foods like broccoli, cauliflower, orange juice, etc.

But, if you just want that extra boost, why not supplement with a vitamin?

We found this product, and reviews for it are simply off the charts. It is the #1 seller on Amazon in the Calcium Citrate Mineral Supplements department.

Citracal Petites with Vitamin D3

With 100s of reviewers, this product is a crowd pleaser.

What is so great about this product is that it mixes calcium with Vitamin D.

If you’re not aware, vitamin D has been shown in studies to help with the absorption of the calcium mineral into your system.

With the vitamin D mixture, your body is able to obtain and take advantage of the remineralizing calcium mineral.

This gives your body the maximum ability to bolster you enamel layer of your teeth.

Remineralization Recommendations

If you suspect you are having problems where you think your teeth might be losing some enamel thickness, you should see your dentist right away, and stop using teeth whitening products until your dentist clears you for using teeth whiteners again.

If teeth sensitivity is your problem, we also recommend stopping the use of teeth whiteners.

With any issues like these,  you should also please see your dentist.

YES - GET IT NOW

But, if your dentist appointment is too far off, start using a remineralizing toothpaste.  If your teeth sensitivity goes away, you’re welcome!  However, I would still wait until you get your dentists “all clear” before starting up on the teeth whiteners again.  If you’re really worried about your teeth whiteness, use some of the other suggestion we have on this web site, like water swishing, or avoiding staining foods.  At least until you are able to see your dentist.
